Wedding Coordination
Wedding coordination is an extremely important function. The job of the coordinator is to make sure that important details are planned and then executed on the day of the wedding. The coordinator makes sure that the musicians / DJ, catering staff, wedding party, minister and guests are in the right place at the right time. In the process a tremendous drop in anxiety levels occurs so you can enjoy the wedding to its fullest.
Our wedding coordinator is Diana McIntyre. She has more than twenty-five years of experience in this role. She normally spends fifteen to twenty hours with each wedding party and charges $400. If extra time is needed, and agreed on, there is an additional charge of $50 per hour.
Here is what the $400 covers:
Introductory and planning meeting at Westover to scope out the use of the facility and detail action items
Advice on photographers, caterers, florists, bakeries, entertainment, etc.
Follow-up meetings as required
A rehearsal at the winery, usually the day before the wedding
Management of the wedding activities on the big day. This includes making sure everything happens to the plan; that the music, the wedding party the announcements, the minister, the photographer, the caterer and the winery staff are ready to perform on time.
